O.P.A.C. (Ohio Prisoner's Advocacy Coalition)- Who We Are

Who We Are

O.P.A.C. was born out of a deep commitment to honor the legacy of landmark decisions Gideon v. Wainwright—which underscored that “every defendant stands equal before the law”—and institutionally rooted in the most recent federal Executive Order that codifies modern best practices for policing accountability and judicial transparency (Biden's Executive Order 14074: Policing and Judicial Reform)—O.P.A.C. contends that today’s systemic abuses by police, prosecutors, attorneys and judges jeopardize these very procedural and substantive safeguards.

Our founding in 2025 in Zanesville, Ohio, marked the beginning of an organization that is unafraid to challenge police, prosecutorial, and judicial misconduct head-on. We are a coalition of legal experts, investigators, and community advocates united by the belief that justice must be accessible, transparent, and uncompromisingly fair.

Our Identity:

A grassroots organization formed to expose and remedy police, prosecutorial, and judicial misconduct.

A collective voice for those who have been wronged by a system that often fails to protect its most vulnerable citizens.

Our Inspiration:

Grounded in the historic promises of landmark cases like Gideon v. Wainwright—which underscored that “every defendant stands equal before the law”—and institutionally rooted in the most recent federal Executive Order that codifies modern best practices for policing accountability and judicial transparency (Biden's Executive Order 14074: Policing and Judicial Reform), we work to ensure that fairness and due process remain for everyone.
